Reception Class

Class teachers:

Mrs. Taylor – Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday

Hi I’m Mrs Taylor and am part of the Early Years Foundation Stage teaching team. I have been teaching for over 20 years, specialising in Early Years. I am subject co-ordinator of Geography, History, RE and share the responsibility of Early Years with Mrs Hunter, as well as being student mentor for the University of Greenwich students.

I am currently training to be a Level 3 Forest School leader which I am really enjoying. I have taught in Cheshire, Sussex and another school in Kent. I enjoy being active in my spare time, participating in Pilates, zumba and running as well as walking my two lovely dogs. I love travelling as well as exploring old and new cities with my family and friends.

Mrs. Hunter – Thursday, Friday

My name is Helen Hunter and I have been teaching early years for over 20 years. After doing a Fine Art degree I lived in London working in a variety of preschools and nurseries, including Montesorri. This inspired me to gain a proper teaching qualification specializing in Early years.

My first teaching post was in East Peckham London. I then got married and started my own family. I now live locally with my husband, daughter and twin boys. In my spare time I still love to paint as well as walking my pet whippet and cockapoo and spending time with my family.

Teaching Assistants:

Mrs Barge

Miss Holness

We also have just achieved the EYFS QUALITY MARK!

We have achieved good practice in all 10 Elements of Early Years. Here are some snippets from the report:

“Teachers and the teaching assistant know their pupils extremely well.”

“The high quality of adult interaction with the children is also instrumental in encouraging children to rehearse and indeed extend their learning.”
