World Book Day Friday 6th March 2020

World Book Day – Our chosen theme will be Roald Dahl!

Click this post to find out more.

This year’s theme is “Share a million stories” and we will be spending the day rehearsing our storytelling skills and creating our own versions of well-known Roald Dahl stories and poems. During this day children will be able to write, retell and perform stories and poems using the Talk for Writing approach in classes and across the school.

All children and staff can dress up as a Roald Dahl character.

There will be a particular focus on storytelling throughout the day.

We would like to raise funds for KS2 class reading books by encouraging children to buy a GOLDEN TICKET for a special prize draw at the end of the school day. This will be a £20.00 National Book voucher. All money raised will be used to purchase books for KS2 class libraries.

  1. Children bring £1.00 into class and get a GOLDEN TICKET
  2. The ticket number is recorded on the class list
  3. Prize draw will be made in assembly
