Year four

Class Teachers:

Mrs K Delaney

I am now in my 6th Year of teaching at Mereworth and my second in Year 4, prior to this I was a TA/HLTA at The Discovery School and helped out in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6. I help to run a local Trampoline Club in my spare time even though my daughter no longer trampolines there. It’s great to see all the children enjoying themselves and learning new moves, even the very scary twists in mid-air.

At home I am mum to 2 children who are both at university and also surrogate mum to two rabbits!! (My daughter really wanted them). I love going to the gym and I’ve recently taken up tennis but I’m no Serena Williams. But watch this space, you never know!!

Mrs H Hearn

Hi I’m Mrs Hearn Part of the Year 4 Teaching Team, along with Mrs Delaney. I’ve been in teaching for 11 years at Mereworth School, in both Key Stage 1 and more recently in Key Stage 2. I am also Maths Subject Leader and a Key Stage 1 County Moderator.

In my free time I love spending time with my family and friends, travelling and seeing new countries as well as going to the theatre. I like to be active and I ‘enjoy’ going to the gym, doing Pilates and cycling. For the past 2 years I have been learning the art of silver smithing and I am now able to make a selection of silver jewellery items.

On Wednesday 31st October 2018 Years 3 and 4 visited LEGOLAND. They had an amazing day visiting the park, taking part on some of the rides but ultimately working with Lego in the workshops.

Year 4 did workshops on Story Starters and Time Travellers.

The children had to build their Lego in the style of Ancient Egyptians, Ancient Greece, Stone Age and Romans.

Year 4 also build a story around the travels of Ollie the Dragon.

A great day was had by all.
