Mrs. Knight – Monday to Friday
Hi I’m Mrs Knight and am the lead teacher of the Early Years Foundation Stage team. I have been teaching for over 20 years, specialising in Early Years. I am subject co-ordinator of Geography and History, as well as being student mentor for the University of Greenwich students.
I am a fully trained Level 3 Forest School leader which I really enjoy. I have taught in Cheshire, Sussex and another school in Kent. I enjoy being active in my spare time, participating in Pilates, zumba and running as well as walking my two lovely dogs. I love travelling as well as exploring old and new cities with my family and friends.
Due to quality issues with the recording of the Maths workshop yesterday, we will be uploading the PowerPoint for you to look through. If you have any questions, please speak to your class teacher.
We also have just achieved the EYFS QUALITY MARK!
We have achieved good practice in all 10 Elements of Early Years. Here are some snippets from the report:
“Teachers and the teaching assistant know their pupils extremely well.”
“The high quality of adult interaction with the children is also instrumental in encouraging children to rehearse and indeed extend their learning.”
Year R had a visit by a vet on Friday. The vet talked to us about looking after lots of different animals, ranging from very large to small. We were joined by our school therapy dog, Copper, and the children all used a stethoscope to listen to Copper’s heart.
Year R went to Godstone Farm where all the children had a wonderful day seeing smelling and touching some animals!
