Welcome to Mereworth
Welcome to Mereworth
We are a thriving and popular one form entry village school, situated midway between Maidstone and Tonbridge with close proximity to Kings Hill.
Everyone who works at Mereworth Community Primary School is completely committed to giving the children the very best learning opportunities to ensure that they have every opportunity to succeed in the future. This is supported by our Values Based Education, and this June our value is Collaboration.

Our Mission Statement
“Lasting Learning Experiences for Life”
Mereworth Community Primary School welcomes children and their families into our caring environment.
Through our ‘can do’ approach to learning, we promote the ethos that hard work will result in self-worth and success.
We prepare children to leave Mereworth as responsible and respectful citizens of tomorrow who enjoy lifelong learning.
The experiences the children and parents have at our school will form inspirational memories to last a life time!

EYFS QUALITY MARK
We also have just achieved the EYFS QUALITY MARK!
We have achieved good practice in all 10 Elements of Early Years. Here are some snippets from the report:
“Teachers and the teaching assistant know their pupils extremely well.”
“The high quality of adult interaction with the children is also instrumental in encouraging children to rehearse and indeed extend their learning.”
Sing Up
The Sing Up Gold Award is a prestigious accreditation presented to schools that place singing at the heart of their culture, promote a diverse repertoire of songs, and build confidence across the whole school community.
At Mereworth Community Primary School, singing is an integral part of daily life and the wider curriculum — and we certainly LOVE singing! We are proud to have a highly successful Key Stage 1 Singing Club and Key Stage 2 Choir, alongside whole-school activities where singing plays a central role, including nativity performances, productions, and special events.

We are a Parkrun School. Every Sunday, there is an opportunity for our children and families to take part in Junior Parkrun at Manor Park, West Malling, starting at 8:50am for the warm-up, followed by a 9:00am start time. It is easy to register your child or yourself (you only need to do this once) to take part. It is a fun and enjoyable event for the whole family: www.parkrun.org.uk/register/
